GALICIA - VIGO - RESTAURANTE LA PIEDRA COCEDERO DE MARISCO
Vigo is the biggest city in Galicia and is in a stunning location. On the three miles of coastline that border the city, there are 14 golden beaches, eight of which have blue flag status. You can also visit the Las Islas Cies (The Cíes Islands), a beautiful archipelago off the coast, which is easy to reach by ferry.
When arriving in Vigo, do what the locals do and head for Rúa de la Pescadería, one of many lanes in the old town, where granite tables are piled high with fantastic local oysters. Buy half a dozen at one of the bars in the lane, washed down with a glass of Albariño. Some of the best white wines in Spain are made here in the Rias Baixas area of Galicia. A good place to start is:-
RESTAURANTE LA PIEDRA COCEDERO DE MARISCO

@MMoralejo
This bar/restaurant is in a good location on the famous Rua das Ostras (street of oysters, in the old town seafood market area). This is not a fancy restaurant, but all the stunning seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection (try to sit at one of the outside tables), and try a few of their wonderful Ostras (local oysters).

Berberechos (cockles)

Percebes (Goose Barnacles)

Chiperones (baby squid)

Gambas a la plancha (Grilled red prawns)

Most people eating are locals, which is always good and creates a friendly, buzzy atmosphere that can get boisterous in the evening.

There are a few tourists!

If you have space after all that, walk around the corner to the Rúa da Laxe and have a plate of octopus and maybe some mussels. These are grown on ropes that dangle from wooden rafts into the nutrient-rich water where the Ria de Vigo estuary meets the North Atlantic Ocean.
