IBIZA - SES SALINAS - CAN SALINAS MANUEL EL REY DE LA FIDEUÀ - (POST 1)
CAN SALINAS MANUEL EL REY DE LA FIDEUÀ

Excellent Valencian style paella and fideuà are served at this family-run Restaurant away from the busy summer crowds of Ibiza on the way to ses Salinas beach and its famous chiringuitos like Sa Trinxa and Jockey Club.

Start with the local pan y aioli.

Fideuà is a dialectal pronunciation of the Valencian or Catalan word fideuada (which means a large number of noodles). It is a seafood dish originally from the coast of Valencia, similar to paella (paella is the name of the pan it is cooked in) and even more to arròs a banda, but with noodles instead of rice. The main ingredients are small pasta noodles (usually like macaroni or video (thin, like spaghettini, 15cm long, which come in various small sizes), fish (firm fish, cuttlefish, squid), and shellfish (prawns, langoustines, lobster, mussels). It is seasoned mainly with lemon.

Seafood paella.

These famous paella and fideuà dishes are made traditionally.
Chicken, rabbit and vegetable paellas are also available.

It is always good to book in advance because they need the right time to prepare the food for you.

Paella de mariscos

This is a very characterful spot in Ibiza, under the trees and with a stunning sunset view of ses Salinas in the evening.

It is excellent for groups and kids (There is a play area). After eating, there is a hammock to lie back on and chill out!!

It is very reasonably priced and a nice place to stop on your way to or back from the beach. (paella is €20pp).

If you have to wait, there is a small bar area where you can drink, but there is no inside seating.

I suggest having dinner there slightly before sunset to enjoy the sun's colour and watch the flamingos on the salt plains of Ses Salinas, opposite the Restaurant.

On the way to Salinas, pass the church. It is on the left before the Platja des Cavallet turnoff and before Salinas Beach.

The wines are good but essential, and the service is friendly and efficient but not over the top.
These dishes can be a little high in salt, but that is the traditional way, and, of course, you are opposite the famous Salinas salt plains, after all!
Apart from the rice dishes, there are Excellent fried fish like sardines Calamari frita (grilled squid) Chipirones (small grilled squid) Pulpo frita (fried octopus Gambas al ajillo (garlic prawns)
Reservations are required.
This is Ibiza; this is life.
