ES BARET

July 2021 This a lively, casual, small tapas restaurant in a very busy area of Palma de Mallorca, which is a must for anyone wishing to try authentic and traditional Mallorcan food.

They offer a huge variety of tapas, rice and other typical dishes,

at very decent prices.

Various paellas and rice dishes are available including mixed paella (seafood, boneless pork, chicken and vegetables), vegetable paella (seasonal vegetables, artichokes, mushrooms, carrots, red and green peppers, green beans, peas, broad beans, zucchini) Seafood paella (cuttlefish, fish, prawns, mussels, vegetables) arroz negro (cuttlefish and natural cuttlefish ink).

We had, very good croquetas de espinacas (spinach croquettes)

Tumbet Mallorquín (a simple dish of layered vegetables, gently fried in extra virgin olive oil and then baked together in the oven, similar, in some ways, to French rataouille).

We chose the vegetarian paella.

This is a great place to enjoy all the flavours of the Mallorquín kitchen..

The owner is very friendly and quite amusing, service with a smile.
